First off to visit Tintagel Castle, but on the way, Breakfast at McDonalds again! Next Boscastle to see how the regeneration is going. I was not too impressed with the rebuilt Pixie Cottage – the new building looks more like a chapel. Finally, the official end to the Holiday, a crab sandwich and a pint of cloudy Cider in the Cobweb Inn.

Cornwall Holiday – Day 7
Too much sun yesterday, so no beach today. First off, Trevarno Gardens – I’ve been to most of the other gardens in Cornwall, but this was up there with the best of them, an unexpected high-light.
Next, Poldark Mine, one of those places that look really tacky in the brochures. I had pinned my hopes on the mine tour, and fortunately this was very good (even having a creationist tour guide having to explain how old the rocks were!). The rest of Poldark was as tacky as expected. Finished up at Coverack.
Cornwall Holiday – Day 6
Too much sun! Spent most of the day at my favourite beach, Kynance Cove. Everytime I go there I see lots of people get cut off by the tide – today was no exception. I ended the day at the Lizard. I walked down to LIzard Point, then back to the village for some excellent fish and chips.
Cornwall Holiday – Day 5
At last, the day starts sunny! Off to Prussia Cove (for the first time in 30 years) for 4 hours on the beach. Then, onto Goonhilly Earthstation. I pass it twice a day so it was about time I visited. And finally, as it’s still sunny, a stroll around the caravan site and a walk down to the local beach, Kennack Sands.
Cornwall Holiday – Day 4
Mild weather, but the sun never never quite managed to burn off the mist. Started the day at Sennen and walked along the coastal path to Land’s End. After, a trip to the Minack theatre, built into the cliffs at Porth Curno. This was my third visit to this theatre and it struck me how ugly it was, just a pile of concrete dumped on a cliff – I think the recent additions have highlighted this more than ever.
