Unfortunately some lowlife Spammer has started sending emails out that spoof the sender so it looks like the mail originated from my domain. Last day of this short Holiday and the first one where it’s not been sunny when I got up in the morning. Still, 6/7 sunny days in early May is more than I had hoped for. Whistle-stop tour today to get in some of the smaller places while the weather holds out. So far it’s been sunny everyday and I managed to avoid the areas where there has been rain. It’s a very pleasant walk, marred only by swarms of flies – not quite on the biblical proportions of day 3, but still very annoying.Next, further south to Bridlington; much like Whitby and Scarborough – this is a traditional seaside town – but successfully avoiding the the tackiness of somewhere like Paignton or (I imagine), Blackpool. I took boat trip along the coast to Flamborough – it was a this point the sun decided to go into hiding, which resulted in a very cold voyage and bland views.I did, finally manage to sample what must me a Yorkshire delicacy (as I keep seeing them), a hot roast pork sandwich (actually a bap) with stuffing and apple sauce – very tasty. I didn’t stay too long because I had other things planned, but it looks like a place you could spend a whole day.Next – Nunnington Hall – It’s one of those place with annoyingly late opening hours – 13:00…. 8/10.Finally, Rievaulx Terrace – a piece of land high up on the hill, built for the views over the surrounding countryside and also the Abbey Below – another 8/10.Oh and Bryan Adams was having lunch on the table next to mine in Nunnington Hall – Apparently he’s a photographer as well as a singer. Another fine day and another day without needing to drive. It’s around 6 miles between Saltwick (where I’m staying) and Robin Hood’s Bay – at least that’s what the sign says.
