I’ve just regained a whole drawer full of storage space as I dumped my collection of MiniDiscs and MiniDisc Players.

It had a false start with the first generation which held no more information than a standard CD. But then, with the introduction of the Network version, which supported digitally compressed music, it looked like it had a new lease of life. Unfortunately this was cut short by the likes of the Rio MP3 player and then the iPod. It doesn’t even have a market on eBay!
