Last time I was that way, I visited Whitehaven and wasn’t too impressed. Workington – Avoid unless you want to do some shopping. They have closed the Tourist Information Office, which says it all. Maryport Continue reading It Had To Be Done Summer Holiday – Day 9 After all the driving yesterday, kept it fairly local today and headed into Keswick. Summer Holiday – Day 8 Time to leave Wales and head north to The Lakes. On the way stopped off at Quarry Bank Mill, owned by the National Trust. It was well worth the visit, but I didn’t have enough time allowed to do it justice so I will have to plan a return visit.
