Just got back from my annual autumn break – this year I went to Wales.
Started off with a trip to the Gower peninsular and Rhossili, a place I haven’t visited since the mid Seventies.
Unfortunately it was high tide so I couldn’t walk across to the Worms head but it’s still a spectacular place for a Clif-top walk.
Next a visit to Pembroke Castle.
Then on to the Stackpole Inn for lunch and then the nearby Bosherston lily ponds and a walk along the banks.
Then a second attempt to visit the Stack Rocks and the Green Bridge of Wales.
It was closed last time I tried in 2003 as access is through an MOD firing range.
Next day started at Manorbier, first the beach and then the castle.
Then on to Tenby for a great Sunday Lunch and a walk around town.
And finally, Pendine Sands.
