At last, the day starts sunny! Off to Prussia Cove (for the first time in 30 years) for 4 hours on the beach. Then, onto Goonhilly Earthstation. I pass it twice a day so it was about time I visited. And finally, as it’s still sunny, a stroll around the caravan site and a walk down to the local beach, Kennack Sands.
5th September 2006 at 4:40 pm Mild weather, but the sun never never quite managed to burn off the mist. Started the day at Sennen and walked along the coastal path to Land’s End. After, a trip to the Minack theatre, built into the cliffs at Porth Curno. This was my third visit to this theatre and it struck me how ugly it was, just a pile of concrete dumped on a cliff – I think the recent additions have highlighted this more than ever.

Misty start again but I know this Cornish Weather. Headed out to Zennor and after an hour or so the sun broke though.
Spent the second half of the day on the beach at Carbis Bay

The weather precludes most of the planned activities. Thick fog makes coastal path too dangerous so I head off to Falmouth. By 11:00 the sky is clearing, but as I’m here I decide to stay in the area and head off to Pendennis Castle.
As the weather is holding out I end the day at Praa Sands, sitting on the Beach.
2nd September 2006 at 4:46 pm Traffic from Plymouth to The Lizard, was terrible arrived an hour later than scheduled. Weather very misty and wet – can’t really see the view from the caravan.

28th August 2006 at 12:23 pm Don’t really know how I got this one – I had spent the day walking around Hastings, and when I got home – this had happened: Continue reading “Injury #2 — Big Toe” »
