After the long drive to Cornwall yesterday, I did not want to spend too much time on the road today – I decided to revisit the Lost Gardens of Heligan. Today didn’t quite work out as planned. I had scheduled a number of stops beginning with a walk around Keyhaven Marsh. When I arrived at Keyhaven I imediately saw the signs for the ferry to Hurst Castle and after a quick google on my iPhone I decided that it would be worth a visit. The castle is located a mile and half out in the Solent at the end of Keyhaven Spit – it is midway between the mainland and the Isle of Wight. I’ve just bought a new Mac Mini running Snow Leopard Server to replace the old Mac Mini. In theory it should be a lot more straight forward on the Server version of the operating system as everything you need is pre-installed. In practice, once you know what you need to do, it’s quite simple – but finding these things out is not so simple.
