Pentire West and a Return Visit to Trelissck

I love the weather forecast. As I am walking in glorious sunshine the forecast is insisting that there is currently heavy rain and that this will continue throughout the day. I start the day with a cliff walk around West Pentire towards Porth Joke.

Camel Trail

Camel Trail I have visited Padstow on many occasions but never paid any attention to the Camel Trail. Usually, I head north, along the coastal path, as I have always loosely associated the trail with cyclists, but this is not the case. It proved well worth the visit and as I only took in the first couple of miles this time, I will definitely be planning to make a return visit in the future.

Polruan, Fowey & Restormel

Drove to Fowey and then took the passenger ferry across to visit Polruan for the first time.

I then climbed the very steep streets to reach the top of the town and the start of the coastal path.

Getting Value from the National Trust

Nice cheap day

Start with a walk along the cliffs at Carnewas & Bedruthan Steps – National Trust

Next Lunch and a visit to Trerice – House and Gardens – National Trust.

After a night of torrential rain , the day turned out unexpectedly nice. After the long drive to Cornwall yesterday, I did not want to spend too much time on the road today – I decided to revisit the Lost Gardens of Heligan.

Cheddar Gorge and Dyrham Park

Last day so after saying goodbye to the lodge, I headed off to visit Cheddar Gorge.
