Witney Court, the M5 and Crantock Beach

Set off from Coniston at 7 am for my second week’s holiday near Newquay in Cornwall. Stopped off at Witney on the way to break up the journey but couldn’t stay too long.

Another walk from Coniston – this time east to Grizedale Forest.

Coniston

As forecast, it was raining heavily all day – Most of the paths were under water so I got to find out just how waterproof my GoreTex Shoes were. At the end of the day my feet were bone dry.

Church Beck to Levers Water

First proper walk of the holiday – from the centre of Coniston up to Levers Water

Coniston

The trails start in the village centre to the east of Church Beck and and there is a fairly good track all the way up to the reservoir. Steep but not too challenging.
