Emley

On my way up to the Lakes, I decided to pay a visit to Emley.

St Michael the Archangel, Emley

At least as far back as my 11 Great Grandfather in 1576 and up until the late eighteenth century my family lived in this village.

Birling Gap to Beachy Head

Another one for the category – why didn’t I do this before!

Birling Gap

I started off at Birling Gap where you reach the beach via a staircase. I walked along the beach beneath the shear white chalk cliffs along the coast towards Beachy Head.

Last day – Pontcysyllte Aqueduct

Last day of the holiday – time for just one more excursion – the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct

I’d seen it featured on a TV show earlier in the year and as it was close to the route home I added it to my itinery. Recently it was added to the list of World Heritage Sites.

Sunset Now

Last full day in Wales and it end it ended with a spectacular sunset.

Conwy & Padarn

Paid a return visit to Conwy today.
