The path was no quite as desolate as the one to Geevor, but the Mine ruins are more spectacular.  The remains of the Botallack mine works are perched precariously on the the cliff &#8211; I only made as far as the upper winding house &#8211; the route to the lower pumping house was beyond what I could safely manage wearing Flip-Flops!</p>
<p>I finished the day at Porth Curno, first in the Telegraph Museum and the on the beach where I read the latest copy of FHM from cover to cover,</p>
