Overall I have been happy with the results from using the lens – there is very little barrel distortion – It’s undoubtably my favourite lens. Such a wide angle can be a double edged sword. From a distance it can be hard to exclude unwanted extras such as people standing to the side of you, or even your own feet in some cases. However that same wide angle also means you can stand very close to a object and still capture the whole thing. Take this picture of the castle. The area outside is thronging with people, however I am only standing about a metre in front of the drawbridge so this puts them all behind me.

My new Sigma 10-20mm F4-5.6 EX DC HSM Lens was delivered today. I hope to put it to good use on my upcoming holiday.
