Birling Gap

I started off at Birling Gap where you reach the beach via a staircase. I walked along the beach beneath the shear white chalk cliffs along the coast towards Beachy Head.

Leonardslee Gardens

Another sunny day – judging by the traffic going past my house early this morning everyone was headed to the coast today. I decided to head inland instead and visited Leonardslee Gardens.

With seven lakes to walk around, it’s a pleasant place to spend some time.

Scotney Castle

Scotney

I visited Scotney Castle for the first time today. It eludes me how I didn’t discover it earlier, as it is so close to home.

It’s a very pleasant place to spend a couple of hours.

Brighton – Royal Pavilion & Sea-Life

The traditional Bank Holiday Destination – Brighton!
Royal Pavilion
Brighton’s only 15 minutes away from home and I’ve been there many times over the past 30 years. But in all that time I had never visited the Royal Pavilion or the Sea-Life centre.
