11 November 2006 – Welcome to the all-new web site. I’ve decided that the old one was too busy and have now gone for a more simplistic approach. It will take a while to migrate the content, so please bear with me.
Broken wine glass in the rubbish bag – Doh! Click on, if you dare!Continue reading “Injury #3 – Thigh”
First off to visit Tintagel Castle, but on the way, Breakfast at McDonalds again! Next Boscastle to see how the regeneration is going. I was not too impressed with the rebuilt Pixie Cottage – the new building looks more like a chapel. Finally, the official end to the Holiday, a crab sandwich and a pint of cloudy Cider in the Cobweb Inn.
Too much sun yesterday, so no beach today. First off, Trevarno Gardens – I’ve been to most of the other gardens in Cornwall, but this was up there with the best of them, an unexpected high-light.
Next, Poldark Mine, one of those places that look really tacky in the brochures. I had pinned my hopes on the mine tour, and fortunately this was very good (even having a creationist tour guide having to explain how old the rocks were!). The rest of Poldark was as tacky as expected. Finished up at Coverack.
Too much sun! Spent most of the day at my favourite beach, Kynance Cove. Everytime I go there I see lots of people get cut off by the tide – today was no exception. I ended the day at the Lizard. I walked down to LIzard Point, then back to the village for some excellent fish and chips.
